Historic Town of Homer--(North of I-20 on US 79)--The town offers classic examples of Greek Revival architecture in the antebellum courthouse and many historic antebellum and Victorian homes. It is one of only four antebellum courthouses still in operation.

Homer, Louisiana is located in Claiborne Parish in North West Louisiana.   With a population of around 3,500, Homer maintains a small town feel, with the excitement of casinos and shopping in Shreveport only 45 minutes away.

Homer is a charming small town with very friendly folks who are always ready to help.  You can find good eating at Homer Sea Food.  For quick meals on the go there are several fast food outlets in town (Sonic, McDonald's, KFC, Chick-a-Dilly (highly recommended).  

Everything you need can be found in town including 2 grocery stores (Brookshires and Minyards), auto supply, lumber yard and other services.

The charming town square has a good drugstore.  The Homer hospital is also in town as are several doctors offices and clinics.
